Sophia Orihuela is a bilingual Cuban-American artist and performer from Miami, FL. Growing up, she spent hours performing exclusive recitals for an audience of stuffed animals, dreaming of the day she’d connect with real people through the magic of music and story. That spark of joy—seeing others light up from a performance—never left her.

Her passion for the stage and her desire to uplift others through art led her to New York City and Marymount Manhattan College, where she earned her BFA in Musical Theatre with a minor in Drama Therapy. Sophia is deeply committed to the healing power of performance, a belief shaped by the profound impact of her late mother, whose strength and selflessness remain the heart of her artistic journey. Her mother was not only her greatest supporter, but also the reason she sings with purpose—to bring comfort, connection, and joy to others, just as her mother always did.

Sophia is known for her strong soprano, pop-style belts, and jazzy influence—an energy she’s brought to stages across Manhattan, performing at venues like 54 Below and Green Room 42. Her college credits include playing Marie in Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella and Jackie Onassis in Rumor Has It, an original musical featuring Adele’s songs. In addition to being a performer, Sophia has also worked in voiceover, and is passionate about music therapy and storytelling through animation. In her spare time, she enjoys writing songs, sunbathing, drinking Cuban cortaditos, and impersonating her favorite animated characters!
